HAY FESTIVAL

Country festival, which celebrates the collection of
hay in Livigno and takes place in Plazecc. This is an occasion
to spend a cheerful day with typical lunch, music, dances and
games for children.

PATRONAL FESTIVAL
08/09/2005
Typical local festival for S. Mary Nativity. The patronal
Committee, together with Tourist Office proposes the old religious
festival with the procession through the village and the solemn
mass in which the old brotherhood takes part. The music band,
folkloristic group and Monteneve Choir will animate the evening,
where the guests will taste the traditional “Tast”.
The old games and pastimes will amuse the adults and children.

LIVESTOCK SHOW – AGRICULTURAL
FAIR

Autumn fair with market and livestock show. The best
livestock will be awarded. The agriculture festival evening with
typical local products dinner.

ADVENT MARKET
26/11/2005 - 24/12/2005
raditionally, Livigno for all Advent’s weekends and for every day before
Christmas renew the appointment with its typical Christmas’ markets.
In this suggestive Christmas frame, tourists and inhabitants will have the possibility
to meet each other in the little village square and browse about a lot of handmade
proposals made by local commercials: candles, flower compositions, wooden articles,
Christmas decorations. There will be a possibility to get hot with a cup of vin
brulé and to taste some local products while you do shopping. For children
there will be special moment with Santa Clause, who will go around the stands
and will make children smile.

ART IN ICE

In this occasion you will see the real laboratory of
snow sculptures outdoors. A particolar way to find out the techniques
of ice sculptures, thanks to an artist, who will be glad to increase
your desire to create with snow. A course open to all, from children,
elementary school aged, to tourist and adults.

LOCAL CROSS COUNTRY RACE– CONTRADE

The 26th edition of a most typical Livigno’s display. The representatives
of all districts in Livigno (of all ages and divided in different classes) take
part in the night cross country race along the central streets, which covered
on purpose by snow for this occasion. A lot of participants will run, wearing
the typical local clothes on.
