The alternative route
The Tourist information office and Trading Association of Livigno recommend to their tourists not to travel between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. in order to avoid the queues of the peak hours on all frontiers: Forcola, Foscagno, La Drossa. In particular, we recommend to those directed to COMO, LECCO, MILANO a quicker alternative route by which they can avoid the queues of the customs area of Piattamala.
The route is:
LIVIGNO - FORCOLA - BERNINA- ST. MORITZ - CHIAVENNA- COLICO - MILANO

Tourists are reminded that in Switzerland you need the green card and a valid document for abroad.
